Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values.
Come December, and the city is abuzz with the familiar feeling – Christmas! Shopping, baking, decorating and gifting – the season never ceases to amaze us! Christmas is all about sharing – spreading love, peace and joy to all, especially those who need it the most.
This year, we had a wonderful opportunity to spread the Christmas cheer in the best way possible – sharing toys that meant the world to us as children, in the hopes that they would mean the same to little ones who are not as privileged as we are.
Little More Love and Urban ADDA organised Toy To The World, a toy donation drive, held from 3rd to 14th December 2014.
The response was amazing! Thanks to our generous donors, we collected around 1800 toys from across Bangalore in the month of December 2014! All the toys were donated to underprivileged children by the Apollo Cradle foundation, as part of their toy donation campaign.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to all the lovely donors – kids and adults alike – who parted with their precious toys, that are currently making other little children grin with glee! You made this Christmas so special for us and the little ones; December 2014 is one for the books!
