Every great thing stems from a humble beginning – a tree springs from a seed, an ocean from a rain drop and a life from a cell.
– Little More Love
Seriously,we made that quote up.
But the beginnings of Little More Love, or LML as we like to call ourselves, were just as humble. There was no enlightenment under a tree or dispersion of water from a bath tub that led to the conception and inception of this youth movement. All it took was a little act of kindness and a person’s unexpected reaction to it.
It was Christmas season, 2011. A group of youngsters went door-to-door, singing carols and spreading the Christmas cheer. No biggie, right? Well, that’s how it began. One of the residents in the building was an old lady who was suffering from multiple organ failure and Alzheimer’s. Bedridden, she began to lose faith in the joy of life. But these few carolers made her smile with delight that Christmas. That smile, that reaction to the seemingly un-impactful act of singing carols inspired Nestin Vas, the founder of LML. He realized how one little act could make someone’s day, or sometimes even change people’s lives.
The group that began with just 16 members now boasts of 60 like-minded youngsters. We are all about fun, fun and more fun! In the process, we try to touch the lives of those who need a little bit of sparkle, a little bit of magic, a little bit of happiness. With a little more love.
