2014 was an eventful year for us; really, the year was full of events! Loads of planning, collaborating and brainstorming translated into a fun-filled and an exciting twelve months for us! Through these events, we received a host of opportunities to meet and interact with other people and groups, share thoughts and ideas, and mainly, reach out to those in need. These amazing collaborations spilled over to 2015 as well, where we partnered with some really incredible people, to spread a little more love.
Here’s a snapshot of what 2014 was to us, and how we kick-started 2015!
On June 1, 2014, we volunteered at Seva Cafe – an incredible initiative that places utmost importance on kindness, selfless service and humble giving. At the end of the day, we returned home with our hearts humbler and our minds wiser.
The Little Sisters of The Poor organized their annual Fete on September 21, 2014. We simply had to be there! What a blessing it was for us to be able to spend time with beautiful people who charmed us with their age-old wisdom and child-like hearts!
We had previously visited the Old Age Home and had hoisted the National Flag on August 15, 2014.
We were super – thrilled to be the Kindness Partner at St. Joseph College of Business Administration’s Corporate Sports Tournaments – Swish 2014 and Kick – Off 2014, held on October 11 and 12. Besides watching several corporate teams at their competitive best, we had some amazing people partonize our stall and play our favourite ‘Waste Bucket Challenge’!
On Saturday, October 18, 2014, we spent some lovely time with children battling against cancer at the Kidwai Hospital; they may be small, but these kids are fighters alright!
The Handmade Collective, an exhibition organized by A Hundred Hands, was organized from 3rd to 7th December 2014 at St. Andrews Church, Cubbon Road, Bangalore, to help small craftsmen and artisans earn fairly. We had an absolutely fabulous time volunteering and helping out at this great initiative!
What better way to celebrate our love for the furries than by helping raise funds for their care? The Voice of Stray Dogs organised a Bake Sale on January 24 and 25, 2015 as part of the Season of Giving – for the tail-wagging, slobbering, beautiful little bundles of monstrous energy. Of course we were a part of it! You think we’d give this one a miss? Nuh -uh!
So, this was our 2014 and early 2015 in a nutshell. We’ve had such a great time along the way, and we have you to thank for it; for all the support, kindness and willingness to give – for all the love.
