“Build from that selfless place inside of you that is not big or loud or selfish or proud. Build from that place that quietly and unceasingly burns for others”
Shishu Bhavan is an orphanage that takes care of children who have been abandoned by their parents. Most of these children are either mentally challenged or physically handicapped. We have been there a couple of times before and truly, it has been a blessing being with these lovely children
We got to serve these beautiful ones by washing clothes, cleaning and doing the dishes on November 13th
It may sound monotonous, but there’s so much joy we have found in serving others, to be able to reach out in any way we can, to show up, to be the gentle reminder that they are not alone in the struggle, to be in the moment with them.
Thankful that we get to stand together in the dirty, gritty monotonous work and cultivate love that pushes boundaries and send love to those known and unknown to us.
We also had the beautiful opportunity to serve at Shine for Jeevarathni, an annual concert by the Jeevarathni Foundation, Bangalore
May we always learn to put the interests of others at the center of your decisions.
“Never be tired of doing little things for others, sometimes those little things occupy the biggest parts of their hearts”
