Back to School, Full of Love: Stocking Up Groceries

June 2, 2026

“We rise by lifting others.” — Robert Ingersoll

There is something about the start of a new school term that feels like a fresh breath. New routines, new energy, new possibilities. And for the children at SMF Nireekshana — a school for differently-abled children in Bangalore that holds a very special place in our hearts — this May and June marked exactly that: a new beginning.

We wanted to show up for it.

A New Term, A Full Pantry

As part of our Open Hands project, we raised funds, went shopping, and delivered groceries and stationery to Nireekshana just as the school doors opened again. Because what better way to welcome a new term than making sure the children have everything they need – in the classroom and in the kitchen?

This time around, we brought:

🥛 Milk — nourishment to start every day right
🍪 Biscuits — a little treat that goes a long way
🎈 Balloons — because school should also be joyful
📄 Paper — for little hands with big ideas
🫘 Dal — warm, wholesome, and filling

Each item is simple on its own. Together, a small but real expression of love for a community that gives us so much every time we visit.

This place is special

This isn’t our first time showing up for Nireekshana – and we hope it won’t be our last. There is something about this place, about the children and the people who care for them, that stays with you long after you’ve left.

In December and January, you helped us stock their kitchen with rice, oil, biscuits, and provisions. Now, a few months on, here we are again – because love isn’t a one-time thing. It’s a return. A choosing, over and over, to show up.

You Made This Possible

None of this happens without the people who believe in what we do. Every donation, every share, every word of encouragement from our community is what keeps Little More Love moving forward.

If you’d like to be part of what comes next, we’d love to have you with us.

Donate here and help us keep showing up.

Because a little more love, given consistently and intentionally, changes things.
